Schedule and Work Location:
- 355 Bd Gréber, Gatineau
- 35 hours/week
- Monday to Friday
Responsibilities:
Sleep and Comfort Assessments
- Participate in diagnostic sleep testing
- Work collaboratively with the physician to evaluate sleep disorders and treatment-related discomfort
- Ensure ongoing patient follow-up
Patient Support and Therapeutic Follow-Up
- Program equipment according to the diagnosis and configure CPAP/BiPAP devices
- Monitor treatment progress and adjust settings as needed
- Maintain attentive clinical oversight of patients
- Implement the therapeutic adherence protocol and ensure comprehensive patient care
- Follow up with patients according to standard and simplified Tandem protocols
- Support post-PCRS and PSG appointments
- Assist sleep consultants during annual follow-ups in cases of patient discomfort
Education and Interprofessional Collaboration
- Provide individualized clinical consultations and educate patients on the pathophysiology of sleep apnea
- Liaise with physicians (e.g., prescription requests)
- Train and onboard new team members on treatment processes
- Actively contribute to the development and refinement of clinical protocols, processes, and procedures
- Participate in the growth and development of the sleep apnea clinic
Administrative Support and Insurance
- Complete insurance forms following Tandem sessions (e.g., Canada Life)
- Maintain thorough and accurate patient records
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- College diploma (DEC) in Respiratory Therapy
- Active member of the OPIQ (Ordre professionnel des inhalothérapeutes du Québec)
- Experience in sleep care (an asset)
